Pow Wow November 15, 2008: ‘BALOO’S Beach Party – A Sun & Sand Adventure’

What is Pow Wow?
It is a supplemental, action-packed training event for adult Cub Scout Leaders and Pack Committee Members. You’ll spend the day learning new ideas and having hands-on experiences that will enhance your ability to deliver and support a fun-filled and exciting program to Cub Scouts.
When is Pow Wow?
Saturday, November 15, 2008. Doors open at 8:00 am for walk-in registration and pre-registered package pick-up in the cafeteria. Opening Ceremony begins at 8:35 and the first training session starts promptly at 9:00 am. Three course sessions in the morning and tree course sessions in the afternoon, with lunch at noon.
Where is Pow Wow?
We’re gathering at Annandale High School, 4700 Medford Drive, Annandale, Virginia. Here’s a map!
Who should attend Pow Wow?
All registered adult Cub Scout Leaders, potential leaders, and interested parents. That would include; Cub Masters and their assistants, Tiger Den Leaders, assistants and partners, Cub and Webelos Leaders and their Assistants, Pack Committee members and Chairpersons. (Oh!, let’s not forget Charter Organization Representatives.) Training sessions offered on relevant topics for every Cub Scout position to help you make your Cub Scout program more fun for the boys ... and you too!!! Pow Wow is an all day adult training event! Unfortunately, we do not have provisions for children watching.
What is Den Chief Training all about at Pow Wow?
We’re offering a morning and an afternoon training session for Boy Scouts only who want to be Den Chiefs. We will help Boy Scouts learn how to help Cub Leaders deliver a better Cub Scout program.
How much does Pow Wow cost?
$30.00 if you pre-register on-line by November 6, 2008 … $38.00 if you do walk-in registration on the day of the event. Den Chief Training is $20 for pre-registered Boy Scouts and $28 for walk-in registration. Courses have limited enrollment so register now!! On-line registration closes on November 7, 2008. What should I bring to Pow Wow? That’s easy…
- Wear your Cub Scout uniform, if you have one.
- Bring a notepad, a pen, and a tote or book bag.
- Bring your Cub Scout Spirit and a smile.
- Some extra money for your purchases at the Pow Wow Trading Post.
