Today was a busy day.  We gathered at ADAMS at 9am and then headed to a neighborhood to collect the food bags that we had distributed past Saturday.  This was part of the "Scouting for Food" program.  After collecting the food the scouts helped drop of the food at one of the local churches.  It was a wonderful experience for our Scouts.

Next we headed to DC for a trip.  We decided to take metro.  Since it was 1st time riding the metro for some of the scouts they were really excited.  We went to see Jefferson Memorial.  We spent some time at the Mall where the scouts ate their lunch and  played some football.  Then we walked to Jefferson memorial.  The kids enjoyed their walk as well as the memorial.  One the way back we stopped for ice cream and then took metro to get back home.

This also completed achievement 4 for us.
